Canyon Creek is an Austin suburb with a Hill Country feel. Its spacious natural setting (it was formerly ranching and hunting grounds) includes protected areas for the endangered Golden-cheeked warbler and black-capped vireo. Canyon Creek’s location is a major attraction for many families. It’s located in far northwest Austin, just southwest of the intersection of Anderson Mill Rd and RM 620. It borders the Balcones Canyonland Preserve to the west. Canyon Creek gives its residents easy access to the recreation opportunities of Lake Travis and Lake Austin, easy access to the shopping at Lakeline Mall, easy access to many of the major technology employers in the area and easy access as well to all of the growth and employment centers both in northwest Austin and in Williamson County. Canyon Creek features over 1,300 relatively new homes with spacious floor plans and large lawns.

Things To Do Nearby

Canyon Creek offers myriad opportunities for enjoying outdoor living. The Balcones Canyonland Preserve to the west has great hiking and biking trails with dramatic natural landscapes. Lake Travis and Lake Austin offer boating and water activities just minutes away. The development also features two neighborhood parks with modern sports facilities (including a Junior Olympic-size pool), a baseball diamond, a soccer field and basketball courts. Anderson Mill Road connects residents quickly to Highway 183, with easy access to all of north Austin. And the large Lakeline Mall, with over 150 stores and restaurants from Best Buy to Chili’s to The Limited and Men’s Wearhouse, provides convenient shopping and dining.

Schools

Canyon Creek is served by both Leander ISD and Round Rock ISD. Leander ISD schools are Grandview Hills Elementary, Four Points Middle School and Vandergrift High School. Round Rock ISD schools are Canyon Creek Elementary (located in the community), Noel Grisham Middle School and Westwood High School.
